I can't believe it, I am moving to Seattle! I am packing up my bags, packing up my life and leaving Colorado for the first time to live elsewhere. It really hasn't sunk in yet. It was July 7th that I decided to post my resume for a job. It is now August 21st and I am 11 days from my one way flight to Seattle.
THE LOGISTICS
Yep there are a lot of those. Selling half my stuff at a garage sell; check! Well mostly I just started giving things away. With home prices being higher in Seattle, I will not have the luxury of a 3 bedroom house with plenty of storage. Moving the piano back to my parents; check! This one is a bit painful for me...months ago I spent a lot of money to get the piano sent from my parents house to mine just to now send it back. Getting our house rented; so not a check. Anyone looking for a place to live, anyone?!
THE FUN STUFF
This weekend Jeff and I are taking a small trip to search for apartments. It will be a nice look around the city and hopefully we will find our new home. Then I have one week off to gather my life before I leave. Goodbyes, packing, some tears, some excitement, engagement photos!
THE FUTURE
So for a while, it will just be me and Max (the cat) together in Seattle. Exploring the city, making friends, learning a new job, and blogging. Months down the road Jeff and Addie (the dog) will make their way out. Check up on my blog to see what is happening on the drizzle side of the country.
So here I go - to become not the most vampire looking person around.
